Zen Kitchen in Park City, UT

My "Zen" inspired kitchen is for a house up in Park City, Utah. The couple is very organic and enjoy t being in the outdoors. I figured I would make the heart of their home very natural and cozy for these reasons. Lets talk about the appliances they chose first. For the range hood we have selected the Faber Matrix and used Fulgor Milano for their cookware. The fridge and dishwasher (not shown) are from an European company, Blomberg. The flooring consists of an espresso stained mahogany. The main cabinetry along the walls of the kitchen is stained white alder cabinets. For the countertop along the white cabinetry we choose Cambria Quartz from Klein's Custom Countertops. The tile was supplied by Marazzi Tile. They have the most beautiful tile that can be applied to any surface. We decided to have the glass strip tile to be the main tile covering most of the wall surface between the upper and lower cabinetry. The border trim we used for a "frame" over the range and within it used the square tiles with the accent tile evenly spaced throughout it. Now the island consists of a chocolate brown stained alder but the counter tops are from 3-form. 3-form is my new favorite place just to add that extra feature to your home. We used more product from this company is the master bath adding texture to an accent wall. Back to the island, the countertops material is called "Chroma" and it self illuminates. This couple entertains quite a bit so we added additional lighting to this counter to really illuminate it for those occasions. There is another product on this color board from 3-form, it is the reed textured resin. We actually used this resin as the panel on some of the upper cabinets to make this kitchen just as unique as the homeowners. This kitchen was great to work on and I loved working with the couple who owned the home.
